In the past, Carlina was a typical Tuscan farmhouse. First restored in the '70s and then again in the '80s it has often appeared specialized design magazines like Vogue, as an example of poor art and conceptual restoring. In the recent years the villa has hosted many of the most famous contemporary artists, friends of the previous owners.
This property is a luxury villa located in the south west of Tuscany, fully immersed in the Maremma countryside, both close to the Tirrenian Sea and to the main cities of art. At 3 km from the sandy long beach of the Follonica Gulf and less than 2 hours drive from Florence, Pisa and Siena, this accommodation offers a great variety of options for an unforgettable holiday.
The property sits on an expansive area of about 6.000 sqm, surrounded by a lovely landscape of sunflower fields and hills. The three-storey villa of about 450 sqm is immersed in a private mature park with tall trees (pines, olive trees, palms, Mediterranean wood and a spectacular secular plane tree). There is a two-level concrete swimming pool 14x7 meters, a pool house and gazebos for outside living.
Carlina has a very large living room divided into 2 areas and a well equipped, modern kitchen. From the here there is direct access to the courtyard which is comfortably furnished with a dining table, with large umbrellas for shade, and a wood burning oven as well as guest bathroom.
On the first floor the villa has a master double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath tub, a shower and a double basin. A double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath tub, a second double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath tub. A twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath tub.
On the second floor the villa has a twin bedroom with 2 French beds with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. All of the bedrooms are air conditioned, while the living areas are kept cool by the thick walls.
Notes
Please note that this villa is situated close to a road. It is possible that some noise may be heard occasionally while in the garden area. However, silence in the house is assured as Carlina has been constructed with very thick double-pane windows.
