Chiodo is a beautiful farmhouse set high in the hills between Lucca and Pisa, with magnificent views on the valley below. It is located very close to the small village of Vorno, renowned for its beautiful 17th century villas belonging to the oldest families of Lucca, who used them as summer residents. The location combines perfectly town facilities, with its proximity to Lucca, and the perfect quiet of a sheltered countryside. It is also very convenient for those who wish to visit the main Tuscan tourist destinations, since Chiodo is located only eight kilometers from the motorway entrance/exit. We have been renting this property for many years until 2006, when it was sold to a Dutch family that then spent more than three years of intensive renovations to transform the villa into an ideal holiday home. The architects in charge of the renovation project have succeeded in blending the character of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse with modern design. The result is a beautiful combination between traditional Tuscan materials and contemporary style. The owners have furnished the interior to a very high standard. Having been tenants themselves in Tuscany for many years, they have equipped the villa with all the appliances and facilities they were expecting in a rental property.
The beautiful, new swimming pool has been installed in the most panoramic position on the estate. The very spacious and well equipped kitchen opens directly onto the large courtyard and garden overlooking the valley, ideal for eating outside or just relaxing and enjoying the peace and lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The house is equipped throughout with internet connection (wi-fi).
