Montaione, located in the town of the same name, has been recently renovated to create a beautiful and very comfortable country house. The villa is located between Florence and Pisa, on a hilltop where you can enjoy magnificent views of the rolling Tuscan hills. The property is composed of a main villa, a dependence, and a pool house. It is the ideal retreat for family reunions and gatherings.
Villa Montaione features a main villa, with six fully independent apartment suites, and a smaller, adjacent dependence providing two additional suites. The entire property is furnished in a beautiful Tuscan country style, with color-washed walls in rich, traditional hues; gorgeous, coordinated fabrics; and select, restored antiques. All the suites feature private sitting rooms and full country kitchens, ensuring maximum privacy and extra personal space for large groups, such as family reunions. The property is fully air-conditioned for maximum comfort. Villa Montaione's pool house offers an additional space for guests to gather in its large, comfortably furnished dining/sitting room and beautiful country kitchen. Double glass doors open directly onto the fully furnished outside loggia (pool veranda), with its fantastic panorama. It offers shade on sunny afternoons to enjoy the garden and the breathtaking views, while offering the perfect setting for alfresco dining, especially during Tuscany's magical sunsets. Sweeping Roman steps easily lead into the mosaic-tiled infinity-edge pool, with its own hydro-massage tub and sun terrace, paved in marble and terracotta.

Additional Information
SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS:
The very large estate is part of a nature preserve and offers abundant wildlife. Guests will appreciate the attention to detail in the restoration and decor—cotto floors, grés tiled walls, old-fashioned heavy wood and porcelain topped vanity units, luxury lamps (wrought iron, glass, terracotta) and light fittings. The old Tuscan cotto floor, open-beamed ceiling, and rich Tuscan-hued color scheme give a special charm to the villa. The one-level pool and spacious lawn areas make this villa an ideal place for children.
What to do in the Montaione region of Tuscany?
San Gimignano
Atop one of the hills that dominate the Elsa Valley is the ancient medieval city of San Gimignano, which still preserves its roots and boasts beautiful works of art. Highlights which must be seen are the Collegiate Church and Museo Civico. The Collegiate Church, one of the most famous in the world, contains frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli and Ghirlandaio, while the Museo Civico has a renowned collection of apothecary jars from the Spezieria di Santa Fina. Besides its famous Vernaccia wine, San Gimignano's many shops offer the products of typical Tuscan artisans, marked by the skill and tradition handed down from father to son. Here you can enjoy everything from boar sausages to cheeses, from terracotta to hand-made pottery to leather goods.
Volterra
The magical and mysterious city of Volterra has its roots in three thousand years of history. In this unique, artistic city, you can find evidence and traces of every historical period. Besides being a city of museums, Volterra is rich in natural beauty. There are organized excursions on foot, on horseback or by bicycle along sign-posted itineraries. Volterra is also famous for the regional gastronomical specialties and for the warm hospitality offered to visitors. During the summer, there are many cultural events like the annual festival Volterra Teatro, classical and contemporary music concerts, exhibitions and folklore events that enable visitors to enjoy a rich and varied holiday.
